Ashley Crapio

Ashley Crapio

Ashley was born in New Haven and raised in East Haven. She grew up with many pets, including two cats named Tiger and Sheldon, a hamster, and a hermit crab. As a child, she changed her mind every week about what she wanted to do when she grew up, but what made her finally choose her career in veterinary medicine was working in our doggy daycare. She realized that she wanted to work with animals in some capacity for the rest of her life, and trained as a veterinary receptionist right here at Animal Hospital of Old Saybrook! Her favorite thing about her job is seeing pets leave our hospital healthier than when they came in.

Ashley loves all animals, and has six cats: Momma, Buddha, Spaghetti, Munchkin, Fat Fat and Jackson. She does have a dog, too, named Peach! Ashley and her boyfriend also just recently welcomed their first child on New Year’s Day. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and going on day trips. Admittedly, her guilty pleasure is working when she should be relaxing — which is just another testament to how much she enjoys her job!
